From 11th to 13th October 2019, Hostaria Verona, Verona’s wine and grape harvest festival, will be returning to liven up the streets and squares around the historical Scaliger town centre.
This year will be the fifth edition of this event, which is confirmed as being one of the most important of its kind in Italy: 30,000 attendees were recorded in 2017, with enthusiasts arriving from all parts of Italy, Scotland, England, Canada and Germany. Visitors dedicated to food and wine and cultural tourism, which also benefits local trade and restaurants, with shops and businesses remaining open until late in the evening.
Once again this year, the programme offers an increasingly complete range of attractions: excellent wines, tasting sessions of Monte Veronese cheese courtesy of the relative ‘Consorzio di Tutela’ (consortium for its protection) and culinary specialities; plus dozens of wineries, plenty of "stuzzicherie” (delicious snacks) and traditional Italian dishes.
Top quality flavours combined with the chance to meet Italian artists, directors and writers and enjoy drinks with a view from Juliet’s balcony courtesy of the Lessini Durello Consortium, plus live music with concerts and DJ sets, guided tours and workshops. A programme bursting with flavours, culture and entertainment dedicated to wine, the grape harvest and top quality products from our local area, all in a fun and friendly atmosphere around the magical, historical Scaliger town centre!
