"The Nutcracker" is one of the masterpieces of classical dance, first performed on December 18th, 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.

It is a ballet set in the Christmas period inspired by the story of Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann and tells of a young girl Clara who receives a Christmas gift of a Nutcracker from the magician Drosselmayer, in the form of a soldier and when he falls asleep he dreams of becoming a beautiful young man who defends her from imaginary fights between mice and soldiers, becoming his hero.

He will guide you in a fantasy world, in the realm of sweets where there will be a series of dances that make up the famous Divertissement of the 2nd act.

Ballet suitable for the whole family, will be interpreted and danced by the students of the school and by the Junior Company of the Ballet of Verona with the exception of the main roles of the Fairy Confetto and its Prince, which on this occasion will be played by guest artists.
