March 8th thus becomes the starting point of a large sharing and participation project. The objective is to offer opportunities for reflection on the full recognition of gender equality, which passes primarily through respect for women's rights.
There are over seventy initiatives that make up the program of the 2024 edition of the event for the International Day for Women's Rights and International Peace.
The very rich calendar of events develops over a period of more than two months and spreads widely throughout various places in the city: libraries, theatres, bookstores, squares, without forgetting the online events.
Furthermore, on 8th March, entry to the city's museums and monuments is free for all women: Arena, Juliet's House, Achille Forti Modern Art Gallery, Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theatre, Castelvecchio Museum, Museum of the G.B. Frescoes Cavalcaselle, Natural History Museum, Maffeiano Lapidary Museum.
