Galzignano Terme

Spas, wellness and relaxation in a landscape of stunning beauty

In terms of landscape it is one of the most scenic places of the Park of the Euganean Hills.

Galzignano Terme is rich in natural and monumental attractions: In fact, in addition to the famous hot springs there are nature trails of rare beauty that lead to unique places, like the path of Mount Venda, the highest mount of these hills, that lead to the suggestive ruins of monastero degli Olivetani (monastery of the Olivetian (Benedictine) monastic order).

The jewel of the area is the historic garden of Villa Barbarigo Pizzoni Ardemani, in the hamlet of Valsanzibio.

Designed in the1600s by Luigi Bernini on commission of nobleman Zuane Barbarigo are the most celebrated and oldest gardens of Europe.

A rare example of a symbolic garden kept intact until today shows the visitor the monumental door of Diana and has over seventy statues, fountains, fish ponds and water works, a charming boxwood maze, the largest that exists today and that symbolizes the uncertain path of every human life.

The delightful rolling landscape has helped to create two elegant golf courses: The Golf Club of Padua, with 27 holes, a historical golf field of the province designed by John Harris, and the Golf Club Terme designed by Marco Croze and that has 9 holes, water works and small lakes.

The Museum of the Euganean Hills that has innovative exhibition rooms with archaeological and natural themes has recently been inaugurated.
