Terme di Teolo

A spa where you can regenerate between the hills and the plain

For those looking for a relaxing vacation, Teolo is the ideal destination. Besides numerous aesthetic treatments at the hot spring spas, the entire territory offers activities in contact with nature and interesting cultural activities.

These places were the destinations for monks who looked for peace among the rolling hills and who left indelible marks such as The Benedictine Abbey of Saint Mary of Praglia, founded in the XI century and universally known for the important restoration of antique books and manuscripts carried out by the monks.

The church adjacent to the monastery that is dedicated to the Assumption was built based on plans by Tullio Lombardo and conserves precious frescoes and paintings of the Venetian school as well as a wooden crucifix attributed to Giotto's pupils.

In the same area, in the Oratory of the Cross of the Villa of Teolo there is a precious poplar wood crucifix dating back to the 1500-1600s inspired by the school of Donatello, and beautiful frescos from the first millennium are found in the Church of Saint George at Tramonte. On the summit of the Mount of the Madonna there is a Benedictine monastery with the same name which is a wonderful destination for a day trip.

The salient feature of the area is Rocca Pendice. Where tourists can climb a wall of trachyte that is 130 meters high. At the top of Rocca you can get a glimpse of the remains of a fortress buried by thick vegetation and surrounded by a magical feeling.
