Adrenaline and technique for one of the fastest and youngest specialties in cycling, where athletes compete on a track full of jumps, tight turns and obstacles. BMX is the acronym for "Bicycle Motocross", a sport practiced with relatively small bicycles, equipped with high handlebars, tubes fixed to the wheel axles and only one gear.
In addition to considerable physical skills, mental, tactical and emotional skills are also required. Strength, explosiveness, pedaling frequency and technique are the factors that determine victory or defeat.
The UEC, the European Cycling Union, has assigned Italy the organization of the 2024 BMX Racing European Championships.
Verona is ready to host this great event from 29th May to 2nd June 2024. The arrival of around 2400 athletes from all over Europe is expected, present for the entire race week.
The venue will be the BMX Olympic Arena, which will host the champions of the discipline from all over Europe and who will battle on an exciting and technical route. The European BMX Championships are the main competition of the sport of BMX in Europe.
