Fragments of the Lagoon Archeological exibition at Lio Piccolo
Event details Exhibitions From 18 March 2023 To 15 September 2023 (only Saturday, Sunday) Cavallino Treporti Website Ask for info

In the centre of Lio Piccolo, the permanent exhibition Fragments of the Lagoon has been installed in order to gather and tell the stories of this ancient village and the lagoon canals.

An important example of how even the smallest places can be like treasure chests, things that are precious to reconstruct the past, allowing us to discover historical details and salvage and relive ancient traditions.

The archaeological findings, discovered at the bottom of the north part of venice lagoon or buried around the local area, tell the story of the lives led in these villages and along the waters of the lagoon around Cavallino-Treporti, from Roman times to the modern day, passing through the Middle Ages.

A tour that reconstructs daily life and activities from long ago, from fishing to agriculture, right through to outlining the trade routes that, once upon a time, ran through Venice’s lagoon.

The exhibition is open every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Free entry
