The Arena di Verona Foundation is pleased to announce the rich program of the 2022 Symphonic Season at the Philharmonic Theater. The intense program features internationally renowned artists and conductors and presents 10 concerts in double evenings from 11 February to 26 November. The shows will be offered on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons.
The fifth concert of the season is a symphonic-choral concert involving the Orchestra and Choir of the Arena Foundation. Two milestones of the classical repertoire will be proposed: at the opening "Adagio and Fugue in C minor, KV 546" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and then "Requiem in C minor" by Luigi Cherubini. The Adagio and Fugue in C minor K 546 is a work for strings of Mozart's mature age and opens with a majestic adagio with dark and dramatic tones and serves as a prelude and accompaniment for the listener to the second piece in program: the monumental Requiem in C minor by Luigi Cherubini for choir and orchestra.
