Casa Shakespeare presents the new edition of the Juliet Summer Fest to make us reflect and, through the events of Juliet and Romeo, look beyond the meanings that this story represents.
The review starts from 17th to 21st July with the Theatre in Streaming Live and the ReLife shows, a series of walking shows retracing the troubled events of the protagonists of the Shakespearean tragedy.
From 22nd to 29th July, there will be two shows at the Corte Dogana: on Friday 22nd July in a single evening is staged “Juliet and Romeo Re Life”, a travelling show streamed with students from Verona schools, in the company of the director and the young cast. This is followed by “Sh-ort-akespeare”, pieces of theatrical mosaic filmed in different times and settings, with multiform directing and translations. The review concludes with the show “Juliet and Romeo by the river”, a show with three performers on the river bank to immerse the audience in the most famous love story in the world, between heart and soul, hatred and bitterness, celebration and mourning, atmosphere, duels and rivalries in beautiful Verona. The Juliet Summer Fest is a festival that testifies to Shakespeare's bond with Verona, through theatrical and non-theatrical performances.
