On the occasion of the new century of the Arena Opera Festival, the “Practice of Opera Singing in Italy” will be celebrated at the opening of the opera season on 7 June 2024 with an extraordinary gala.
Announced on the stage of the 74th Festival of Sanremo by tv host Amadeus in the presence of the Chorus of the Arena di Verona, the event is promoted by the Ministry of Culture and realized in collaboration with the Fondazione Arena di Verona and will see the presence of 150 orchestra teachers and over 300 choir artists, coming from all the Italian lyric-symphonic foundations and the most important Opera Orchestras.
A unique and unrepeatable event broadcast on worldview that, for one evening, will bring the whole world of culture to the Arena di Verona to celebrate the world of Opera. As the Superintendent of Fondazione Arena Cecilia Gasdia states: "We could not have hoped for a better start. It will be a great honour to represent our greatest musical tradition internationally, music builds bridges and breaks down barriers".
