The operatic repertoire returns to the Philharmonic Theater with the performance of Verdi's Rigoletto, on stage for four dates starting from February 27th.

Rigoletto is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi. The main characters of this tragic story are the licentious Duke of Mantua, his hunch-backed court jester Rigoletto and Rigoletto's beautiful daughter Gilda. Rigoletto, the main character, is good at his job of humiliating the courtiers for the amusement of the Duke. But his bad manners will lead her daugther to death. The staging is curated by the director Arnaud Bernard who had already made it with great success for the Arena Foundation in 2011 and the original wooden scenes are signed by Alessandro Camera.

Verdi's masterpiece will be directed by maestro Francesco Ommassini. The young baritone protagonist is Luca Micheletti, who makes his debut on the Veronese stage alongside the Spanish soprano Ruth Iniesta, the tenor Ivan Magrì and Anastasia Boldyreva.
