Visit to one of the highiest early medieval towers in Italy, important evidence of the ancient fortified settlement of the town of Rovigo!

Built in the 10th century and later enlarged and equipped with crenellated walls, towers and gates, the castle retains today only the ruins of the 15th century walls and the two towers. Torre Grimani, named after the last owner family, is known in the city as the "cut off tower" and hosts now a voluntary association; while Torre Donà, famous in Italy for its extraordinary height which makes it one of the tallest in the national territory, can be visited and allows you to see Rovigo in all its beauty .

All the ancient complex, which today stands on Piazza Matteotti, is always available as a public garden in the city centre, while Torre Donà is open for visits which can take place upon reservation, every weekend and at pre-established times.

Visiting methods to Torre Donà: Access is allowed to a maximum of 15 people per shift. Access to children under the age of 8 is not permitted; the visit is not recommended for people with dizziness, heart or respiratory problems.

In case of bad weather or rain, the visit will be automatically canceled and it will be possible to reserve another experience.

The Torre Donà site is included in the Rovigocard, the combined ticket that allows you to visit the main historical-artistic sites of the city at a special price.
