Ludovico Einaudi returns to the Arena of Verona with “In A Times Lapse”, ten years after his last show in the city. To pay homage to this anniversary, Einaudi has decided to re-propose his famous album, outlining for the occasion a new instrumental ensemble. Alongside Einaudi, they will play Federico Mecozzi, violin and viola, Redi Hasa, cello and electric cello, Rocco Nigro, accordion, Alberto Fabris, electric bass and synth bass, Sebastiano De Gennaro, percussion, Gianluca Mancini, live electronics and multi-instrumentalist Francesco Arcuri.

Ludovico Einaudi was born in Turin on 23 November 1955, graduated in composition at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan, and perfected under the guidance of Luciano Berio. Towards the end of the eighties he went through a period of experimentation and research, during which he began to collaborate with theatre and dance. He has written the soundtracks for several films and trailers, including Quasi amici and Joaquin Phoenix - Io sono qui!, the miniseries Doctor Zivago, and Acquario in 1996, for which he won the Golden Grolla for best soundtrack. He has also released a series of solo piano and orchestra albums, notably I Tage in 2001, Nightbook in 2009, and In a Time Lapse in 2013. Taranta Project, a collaborative album, was released in May 2015, and Elements was released in October 2015. In November 2012 Ludovico Einaudi received the 2013 Vittorio De Sica Prize from the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, for his contribution to music.
