The traditional fish festival is back. As usual it takes place on the beach next to the little church "Madonnina dell'Angelo" in front of the sea.
You can taste the fish of Caorle, fried or grilled, seated in front of the sea on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
A "Casone" will be built on the beach, thanks to this event. The "Casone" is the typical construction made of wood and reed, where fishermen and their families once lived. These buildings can still be seen today in our lagoon, both by bike, on foot or thanks to the beautiful excursions by boat or by bragozzo, a typical boat of Caorle.
Caorle is one of the few places in the Adriatic sea that preserves its characteristic appeal of a seafaring hamlet: still nowadays fishery is practised by many citizens and its fleet can boast about 80 boats. Every day you can taste the local fresh fish at the many restaurants or you can buy it directly at the Fish Market in the morning. We are waiting for you in Caorle in september!
