The Arena Foundation presents the rich program of the 2024 opera season at the Teatro Filarmonico of Verona, which features 5 operatic titles not to be missed, to which will be added an eagerly awaited sixth ballet event.

Opening the season is Mozart's Magic Flute, with an important international cast. In February, La Rondine will be staged, a refined opera by Puccini which pays homage to the Lucca master on the centenary of his death.

Since March 17th, the most accomplished of Carlo Goldoni's comedies has been on stage for the first time in the Philharmonic's programmes: Il Campiello, adapted from the opera by the Venetian Ermano Wolf-Ferrari. The fourth title is another all-Veronese premiere: Verdi's Stiffelio, an experimental gem full of extraordinary music but rarely performed.

The November events are dedicated to a universally known title, but rarely performed in Verona: Rossini's Cenerentola, in an elegant production signed by Manu Lalli for the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and directed by maestro Francesco Lanzillotta.

The season will close with a great return of the most classic of ballets with one of the most beloved titles of all time: Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. To celebrate this great return, the show will have an extraordinary repeat on December 31st, on New Year's Eve.
