On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the passing of Giulio Ettore Erler, a prominent painter from Opitergium of the Venetian Figurative School, an anthological exhibition is being organized in four prestigious venues in Veneto, open until June 29, 2025.
Treviso, a city dear to him, hosts "A Life for Painting" at the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art starting February 1, 2025. The exhibition includes unpublished works and masterpieces that span the entire career of the artist, offering a comprehensive view of his production.
Erler, true to the representation of nature, rejected the avant-gardes of his time, favoring a classic and modern language capable of sensitively capturing the landscapes and subjects of his time. He exhibited in prestigious national and international contexts, such as the Venice Biennale and the Salon d’Automne in Paris, engaging in dialogue with artists like Boccioni and Casorati.
The exhibition, also set up in Portobuffolè (Museum “Casa Gaia da Camino”) and Oderzo (Museum of the Cathedral and Palazzo Foscolo), celebrates an artist of great value, reaffirming his importance in the history of Italian art.
The exhibition is open for visits on Saturdays and Mondays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For visits on other days, it is possible to book via email at eventi@guideveneto.it or by calling 3426138992.
