Treviso renews the appointment with the classical theatre festival Mythos, which in 2025 reaches its fourth edition with the theme ‘Héroes - Uomini e Dei’ (Heroes - Men and Gods). The programme expands the festival to a regional level involving, in addition to Treviso, the cities of Venice, Padua, Pieve di Soligo and Possagno. Classici a Teatro kicks off the Festival on 14th Jan at the Mario Del Monaco Theatre with Arianna, ovvero le eroine di d'Annunzio. This is followed by Il Poeta e la sua Diva (21th Jan), Nella stanza dell'imperatore (6th Feb), Memorial (11th Mar), Una piccola Odissea (15-16th Apr), A cosa (non) servono gli eroi (6th May), Napoleone la morte di un dio (15-16th May).
There are many new features this year: the festival becomes a production centre dedicated to contemporary dramaturgy by staging the play Achilles and the Others - Rhapsody of Heroes (19th Mar). ‘Eroi danteschi - Tra passato e presente’ (Dante's Heroes - Between past and present) is a new cycle of three readings - performances held at the “La Stanza” Theatre: Farinata degli Uberti, Amor di Patria (4th Feb), Manfredi, Eroe Ghibellino (11th Feb) and Piccarda Donati. Heroine of Renunciation (18th Feb).
In the Classici in musica section, the audience is involved in a continuous musical journey that crosses over with all the other categories of the festival, thanks to the important contribution of the Ass. Francesco Manzato. Enriching the programme are many other initiatives, such as Classici al Museo, theatre workshops for children and young people, and Classici work in progress (between January and June).
