The National Museum Collezione Salce, located at San Gaetano in Treviso, hosts from May 3 to July 6, 2025, the exhibition “Say It with Posters!”. The exhibition pays tribute to the communicative power of the advertising poster and its role in the collective imagination, through the works of contemporary artist Aguinaldo Perrone, known as Aguìn.
The exhibition path narrates the evolution of poster art, a visual language that marked the urban landscape of the twentieth century, reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective. The exhibition features 38 works created with acrylics and temperas on wood, including iconic subjects such as Cinzano, Pneus Pirelli, Osram, and Everywhere Fiat. Alongside these, there is a sculptural project inspired by the French poster artist Charles Loupot and a tribute to his famous “Bonhomme Ambois.”
The works engage in dialogue with historical posters from the Salce Collection, creating a comparison between past and present. The arrangement serves as a visual reflection on collective memory and the evocative power of advertising. The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalog, with critical texts curated by Thierry Devynck.
The exhibition is open for visits from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
