Lazise

History and charm of one of the oldest Italian municipalities

Lazise is a prestigious town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda with a captivating history. Dominated by the suggestive Rocca Scaligera, the town is entirely surrounded by a towered wall that hedges the historical centre filled with elegant restaurants and craft stores. Medieval alleys run through this town and an elegant square opens onto the old small port and promenade that leads to the beaches.

The Venetian Customs House is found in the small port. The Serenissima Republic kept a small fleet of boats here to controlled trafficking. This important tourist centre on the Riviera of Olives has comfortable hotels and well-equipped camping sites making this a perfect destination for those who want to spend their vacation on Lake Garda.

The amusement parks of Caneva Resort and the very famous Gardaland are located only a few kilometres from this area. There are many facilities for sport and leisure activities, major musical events like "Lazise classical night", and first-rate cuisine based on excellent local products such as oil, wine and fresh water fish.
