The Asiago Plateau is an ideal destination for those who love doing things outdoors and being in contact with nature.

Thanks to an extensive network of paved roads and mountain trails, many bicycle hikes can be organized to discover locations from the Great War, interesting archaeological sites, and the numerous alpine farmsteads scattered all over the area, where you can drop by and taste typical products while immersed in a dreamy landscape.

This tour starts from the plains and goes all around the Plateau clockwise. Leaving from Bassano del Grappa and riding your bicycle on foothill roads with pleasant ups and downs while you cross the towns of Marostica, Breganze and Caltrano. Once in Piovene Rocchetta, the better trained can take the road to Tonezza del Cimone, Valbona (1,780 m) and Coe Pass.

Or you can take Valdastico, which is easier. The environment is typically mountainous and rich with fir forests up to Vezzena Pass (1,400 m), then you ride down to the beautiful Val d'Assa as far as Camporovere and Asiago.

Getting past the town, you head south following the directions for Conco and the most fun downhill ride: tens of kilometers overlooking the plains and Marostica with moderate slopes and some nice hairpin turns.

Bassano del Grappa is now close, a toast with a shot of grappa is just the reward for this exciting and challenging hike.
