The history of tennis begins in Italy towards the end of the nineteenth century. Are English people who practice it and make it known during their long stays in our country. In 1920 Italian tennis participated for the first time in the Olympics, after which it becames more and more played and known sport.
The Bardolino Tennis Club is a reference point for sportsmen and women on Lake Garda. The association was founded in 1977 thanks to the passion for tennis of 30 founding members. The facilities are owned by the municipality and managed by the same club. The facility is equipped with three clay courts and one in green set, all equipped with a brand new LED lighting system, there is also a service building with adjoining bars and changing rooms. Since the early years have been formed teams for participation in the Championships organized by the FIT always getting excellent results.
This year there will be the new stage of the national open tennis tournament for men and women "City of Bardolino". The event is also organized by the local Tennis Club, is authorized by the Italian Tennis Federation and is sponsored by the City, the Province and the Italian Olympic Committee. The meetings will be held throughout the day and also at night at the same tennis club.
The last edition was a success, between last ball challenges and subnet matches in a welcoming and not only competitive atmosphere.
