Each year the Region of Veneto performs surveys on the state of the water quality of all bathing locations for the Venetian coast of the Adriatic sea as well as Lake Garda, the lake of Santa Croce and Lake Mis.

Monitoring activities for the bathing water with bacteriological analysis are carried out at least monthly during the bathing season (from the 15th May to the 15 September) in order to ensure safe conditions for citizens from a health and hygiene point of view.

Information on the suitability for bathing are updated automatically based on the results of the analyses by the national ARPAV laboratories.
