The Transpelmo is a mountain running race that unfolds around the striking mass of Mount Pelmo in Val di Zoldo, in the UNESCO Dolomites World Heritage site. The route is a loop of 19.5 km (D+ 1450 m) starting from the locality of Pecol, at the foot of the Civetta range. Runners will face an initial ascent through the woods, followed by a high-altitude stretch on a wide trail, surrounded by vast pastures and thickets of dwarf pines, until they reach the Venezia refuge where the first refreshment station will be set up.

From this point, the challenging climb begins, leading through a first small notch to a steep scree and finally to the majestic Forcella Val d'Arcia, the highest and most impressive point of the route (2607 meters).

The descent will continue on the long and steady scree until it leads to the path that takes you to the Staulanza pass where the third refreshment station will be set up. After a brief initial climb, the final phase of the descent will begin, passing through the Pian dei Buoi towards Palafavera to complete the final stretch with arrival back at Pecol.

An exciting adventure, discovering the different faces of the most well-known monolith of the Dolomites, referred to by many as the “Throne of God” for the grandeur of its mass.

Alongside the Skyrun is the new Pelmo Sprint Run, a shorter and faster race of 8.5 km for 650 D+. Dedicated to those who take on more agile distances, but without giving up the spectacular views and the wild nature of the Dolomites in Val di Zoldo. Start time 9:30
