From 12th to 15th September the historic center of Verona hosts the seventeenth edition of Tocatì, the beloved International Festival of Street Games. The Festival was born in 2003 from a project of the Associazione Giochi Antichi and with a format developed over the years became a worldwide reference point for all fans of traditional gaming. Traditional games in the streets of Verona, Exhibitions, Meetings, Narrations in play, Traditional music and dances are part of the program that every year becomes richer. Special guest in this edition is Bretagne with its traditional games, sounds and dances. Thanks to the numerous Breton game communities that will be in Verona for this 17th edition of Tocatì, the city centre will find itself immersed in an imaginary world of maritime traditions dominated by the blue of the sea, the grey of the stone buildings and the green of the large meadows. A deeply artisan imaginary that you can touch by trying your hand at the game tools made mostly of wood and skillfully finished by hand. An atmosphere to be experienced dancing to the sound of the traditional Bagad or to be enjoyed with the delicious dishes of Breton cuisine. Also this year Tocatì highlights three symbolic values that distinguish the game, and that will be declined through all the arts present at the festival: preservation, commitment, evolution.
