The festival Vicenza in Lirica, organised by Concetto Armonico with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Vicenza and the Gallerie d'Italia - Palazzo Leoni Montanari, reaches its seventh edition in 2019 and this year too will host great names in the international opera scene, both for the evenings of entertainment and for the section dedicated to training.
The festival will begin at the Teatro Olimpico on Saturday 31 August with the performance of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and will end on Sunday 15 September, again at the Olimpico, with an opera recital and the presentation of the career award to a famous opera singer.
The 2019 opera productions will be "La diavolessa" by Galuppi on a libretto by Goldoni (5 and 8 September) and "L'elisir d'amore" by Donizetti (13 and 14 September), both on stage at the Olimpico.
On Sunday 8 September the festival will be hosted by the Cortile delle Gallerie d'Italia - Palazzo Leoni Montanari with the intermezzo "Bacocco e Serpilla" by Orlandini, set up in collaboration with the European Baroque Association of Sacile.
During the festival there will be two advanced courses useful for the debut of operas and two master classes of opera singing, held by teachers of international renown.
In addition, there will be a new edition of "Artigiani all'Opera!", a workshop for entrepreneurs organised in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza.
