Verona Jazz, which celebrates its 46th anniversary, is confirmed as one of the most long-lasting and interesting events of the Estate Teatrale Veronese, able to attract not only fans of the genre, but also beginners and curious, who have the opportunity to approach the world of jazz music.
In this edition 2019 will alternate on the prestigious stage of the Roman Theatre unparalleled interpreters of two of the most classic instruments of jazz music: the trumpet and the trombone.
The festival opens Wednesday, June 19 with the "Storyville Story" by Mauro Ottolini and Fabrizio Bosso (with Vanessa Tagliabue Yorke on drums, Glauco Bendetti on piano, Paolo Birro on double bass and Paolo Mappa on guitar) and continues Thursday, June 20 with Paolo Fresu and Giovanni Sollima in "Two Islands".
To mark the beginning of summer Friday, June 21st there will be "Enrico Rava - Special Edition", a show in which the talented jazz player brings together the musicians who have been closest to him in recent years, revisiting the most significant songs of his career.
Monday, June 24th "Juke Box Saturday Night", the newest show by the Glenn Miller Orchestra named after the great classic of Glenn Miller recorded in 1942, concludes the review. A real tribute to an era full of charm and to the protagonists of that music that has made the world fall in love and that still continues to make us fall in love.
