Regional excellence and tradition: this is the essence of Montagnana in Festa, the event dedicated to the prized Prosciutto Veneto PDO, which will be held from 15 to 26 May within the walls of Montagnana, one of the most beautiful towns in Italy and orange flag of the Italian Touring Club.
Numerous events have been organised: from visits to prosciutto factories, to themed evenings, and food and wine tastings.
Thanks to the gastronomic twinning with local restaurants or food and wine associations, it will be possible to pair the ham dishes: risotto with Prosciutto Veneto DOP and Amarone, pumpkin tortelli, herb tortelli, strangolapreti pasta with nettles, tortellino Nodo d'Amore, gnocchi with Fioreta cheese.
Among the new features of this edition, there is the Notte Rosa (Pink Night), on Saturday 25th May, with special promotions in stores open until midnight and the Radio Company concert from 9.30 pm, with DJ sets.
The Isola del Gusto (Island of Flavours), the large covered pavilion in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, will be open on weekdays (7pm - midnight), Saturdays (11am-midnight) and Sundays (10am-midnight).
The pavilion will be home to nine of the Consortium’s prosciutto factories, for pairings with PDO cheeses, craft beers, traditional local sweets, DOC wines and the Montagnana melon.
The pavilion will also house the Isola Gourmet(Gourmet Island), which hosts guided tastings, special dinners, gastronomic partnerships and themed aperitif events.
