On Sunday 19th May let's run for the 37th Straverona! At 9 a.m., departing from Piazza Bra, three routes await you to experience Verona in a sporting spirit, running or walking through the most evocative views of the city. It was 1983 when the first edition of Straverona was staged, a non-competitive sporting event that is repeated annually in Verona, usually on the third Sunday in May. Organized by the Straverona Association and the Department of Sport of the City of Verona, the race is approved by the Union Marciatori Veronesi and the Committee FIASP Verona. The classic route, with a free step, is open to everyone, from athletes to families, with the possibility of choosing at the moment between three different routes of 6 - 10 - 20 km. The 6 km flat is the preferred choice for families, without architectural barriers, with passage in the most characteristic and interesting places of the historic center of Verona. The 10 km undulating is a gentle race or a nice walk, which at some point deviates from the short route to climb the Torricelle. The 20 km undulating is a challenging race but full of satisfaction. It goes over the hills to reach Valpantena, among the pinewoods and under the Scaliger walls of Torricelle.
