Biblioteca Civica di Verona, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Berto Barbarani, offers from 3 December 2022 to 1 April 2023 a documentary journey through his literary production, in particular related to dialect poetry.

The exhibition, curated by Giovanni Piccirilli, next to the first editions of the poetry collections and the pages of the periodicals, testimony of Barbarani’s poetic-narrative activity, continues with documents related to his journalistic activity. In this section of the exhibition, alongside newspaper articles, there are photographs and postcards of Verona from the time when Barbarani lived (1872-1945), part of the Civic Library’s collections.

The last section of the exhibition is dedicated to Barbarani’s relationships with various exponents of Veronese culture and art, including: Renato Simoni, Angelo Dall’Oca Bianca, Lionello Fiumi, Giuseppe Silvestri, Gino Beltramini, Ugo Zannoni and Giuseppe Fraccaroli.
