As per tradition, Conegliano takes part in the national day of Urban Trekking by organizing a guided walk to discover the characteristic places of the city.
This year's theme is "A healthy madness. Discovering the area through its bizarre characters". The Città del Cima has interpreted it by giving this title to its trekking: "Bizarre characters and curious figures: a gust of madness in the streets of Conegliano". The trek, a brisk walk, will start from Palazzo Sarcinelli, continuing through the streets of the historic center until you reach the top of the Giano hill where the castle stands out.
The route will follow traces of curious images, little-known anecdotes and bizarre characters from the "crazy" Buffonelli to the eccentric Girasole, to the Mazzinian countess, just to name a few that characterized city life in the period in which they lived. Stories out of the norm, frescoes that hide unusual details such as those of Palazzo Piutti and those of the facade of the Duomo, sculptures with a masonic flavor present in various buildings in the city, cryptic writings such as those of Palazzo Sbarra: a gust of extraordinary madness will lead the participants to the discovery of an unexpected Conegliano.
The trek will end with a toast in the suggestive setting of the Conegliano Castle.
Reservations are required while seats are available. The cost is € 5.00 per person and free for children up to 12 years.
