Casa Shakespeare presents the new edition of the Juliet Summer Fest to make us reflect and, through the events of Juliet and Romeo, look beyond the meanings that this story represents.
The review begins with "Dante Connection Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso", a cultural marathon with Dante's canticles and dramaturgies performed by Giulia Cailotto and Andrea De Manincor.
The next day follows "Juliet and Romeo by the river", an exciting and suggestive descent by rubber dinghy from Castelvecchio to the Dogana Vecchia, with a welcome drink and final show with Anna Benico and Riccardo Maschi.
On 30th July, Casa Shakespeare presents "Juliet and Romeo Re Life" in a single evening, a traveling show in streaming with the students of Veronese schools, in the company of the director and the young cast.
Following "Sh-ort-akespeare", theatrical mosaic tiles filmed in different times and settings, with multiform directions and translations.
Two theatrical performances conclude the review: "Look at me as Romeo looks at dead Juliet" (31 July), a journey through three great Shakespearean love stories by and with Cesare Catà and Federica Cacciola, and "Are you stupid? Death of a good girl" (1 August), a comic monologue concerning a woman of the third millennium, passing through the reinterpretation of the history of iconic characters such as Juliet, Cleopatra, Ophelia.
The Juliet Summer Fest is a festival that testifies to Shakespeare's bond with Verona, through theatrical and non-theatrical performances.
