Arena di Verona opens the concert season on June 5th with the special concert-event of Il Volo in honor of Ennio Morricone, to celebrate the late maestro who died last July, entitled "Il Volo - Tribute to Ennio Morricone".
A journey through emotions, retracing the art and musical genius of the legendary composer, with the accompaniment of the symphony orchestra.
The event, broadcast live in Italy and in the United States, takes its inspiration from the next recording commitment of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, with worldwide release for Sony Music. A consolidated bond between the composer and the musical trio, with whom they shared the stage in 2011 in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, performing with the song "E più ti penso" on a medley of the musical themes of the films "Once Upon a Time in America" and "Malèna".
"Playing Ennio Morricone is an honor, a responsibility and a challenge, for months we have been working on the master's extensive repertoire. It will be exciting to return to perform, in this particular period, right at the Arena di Verona, to which we are very fond because like us it is a bridge between tradition and contemporaneity", said Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca.
