Local tradition and deep knowledge of our grapes with tastings, concerts, fireworks, music and sports.
For three days Bardolino turns pink and offers a unique experience. The "Palio del Chiaretto" is the event that blends all the food, wine and cultural history of Bardolino and that attracts thousands of visitors from all over Europe. The pleasant setting of the "Bardolino Chiaretto DOC" production area is Veronese shore of Lake Garda covered with vineyards and olive trees.
These grapes are used to produce the Bardolino Chiaretto Doc: Corvina veronese 35-65%; Rondinella 10-40%; Molinara, Rossignola, Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon alone or in combination. How is Chiaretto made? Producers watch over the must to separate it from the peel at the ideal moment of absorption of the perfumes and colour.
For us, the vinification of the red grapes into pink is the result of local tradition and a deep knowledge of the characteristics of our grapes. This is followed by precise fermentation at a controlled temperature to maintain the characteristic aromas of the grapes. The "Bardolino Chiaretto DOC", turned into sparkling wine with natural fermentation methods, can be designated "Spumante Brut", the first of its kind in Italy.
