Verona has an ancient and very close relationship with horses that is part of its cultural, historical and economic identity. It is difficult, if not impossible, to imagine this city without its horses, which are a symbol of its essence and internationality.
The 121st edition of Fieracavalli presents the horse as the undisputed protagonist of the event, in all its expressive power. For the 2019 campaign, the artist Federica Crestani was chosen to lead the inspiration for all the event's communication. The horse is interpreted as a true work of art of nature and, as undisputed protagonist, is expressed through the four elements: water, earth, air and fire.
Water, a primordial component, is the vital principle understood as a means of regeneration and renewal. It therefore represents the transparency of Fieracavalli's ethical choice towards animal welfare. Earth represents the field of competition. The splashes of raised earth symbolise the concrete nature of the element and the dynamic nature of the competition.
Air refers to the sense of freedom and the spectacular side of the event. Fire, finally, is the leitmotif of the Art&Cavallo exhibition, which makes its debut at the fair this year, bringing paintings, sculptures and photographs to Pavilion 8.
