The ‘Green Flags’ are the acknowledgements for family-friendly seaside towns
Every year paediatricians confer the Green Flag on the family friendly beachesof the Italian peninsula.
This is a recognition that indicates the “child-resistant” lidos whose characteristics therefore respond to the needs of the little ones. The green flag initiative was created precisely to ensure for children and their families, beaches that have clear and shallow waters close to the water’s edge and clean sand to allow the little one to have fun and play in complete safety and tranquillity. To win the green flag beaches must also have play areas, spaces for changing diapers and breastfeeding, Lifeguards and assistants, and ice cream shops, bars and restaurants nearby for older children.
