An ancient fishing village with a thousand-year history, Caorle offers a journey to discover its little-known and legendary corners. The area comprising Caorle's lagoon and hinterland is the perfect place for walking or cycling excursions. Miles of trails and cycle paths crossing river environments and protected nature areas that lead from the countryside to the sea, passing by historical and archaeological sites.

Must-sees include: the ‘Isola dei Pescatori’ (fishermen’s island), where you can admire the characteristic ‘Casoni’ (ancient houses made from wood and marsh reeds); the area of Ca’ Corniani, where a project for a 32 km-long cycle path is currently being completed (most of which can already be used); the nearby towns, such as Brussa, San Gaetano and Concordia Sagittaria, all of which are easy to reach by bike, on your own, in a couple or with the whole family.

In Caorle’s historic centre, on the other hand, you can lose yourself among the narrow streets, squares and traditional Venetian homes, admiring the ancient cathedral that dates back to 1038, with its iconic cylindrical bell tower, before enjoying one of the most beautiful walks along the Adriatic coast, along the ‘ScoglieraViva’ (‘Living Reef’’).
