Conegliano participates in the National Urban Trekking Day and offers a guided walk to discover the characteristic locations of the city.
Starting from Palazzo Sarcinelli, the route will wind through the city centre, recounting the historical productions of the Città del Cima which, even today, make it known throughout the world. A commitment recognized worldwide thanks to the nomination of its hills as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You will cross the so-called "Porta del Pidocchio", the S.Polo gate, to reach the Monticano river and learn about the history of the convent of the Humiliated Fathers of S.Polo, an important point of Pannilana processing. In Piazza IV Novembre, you will discover the history of the sheep square, and then go in search of the missing mills.
Along the way, we will retrace the history of the numerous taverns and the producers of the renowned wines which, even today, bear the name of the city abroad. The trek will end with a toast and the tasting of some typical local products.
Reservation is mandatory while places last. The cost is €5.00 per person and free for children up to 12 years old.
