The Arena di Verona Foundation is pleased to announce the rich program of the 2022 Symphonic Season at the Philharmonic Theater. The intense program features internationally renowned artists and conductors and presents 10 concerts in double evenings from 11 February to 26 November. The shows will be offered on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons.

In the sixth concert of the symphonic program, the public will witness the return to the scene of the Symphony n. 4 by Beethoven. The Symphony in B flat op. 60 was composed by Beethoven in the summer of 1806 and published with a dedication to Count Franz von Oppersdorf who had explicitly requested it from the musician. It is an articulate work of the great musician and many legendary conductors count it among their favorite works. The first private performance took place in Vienna in March 1807 in a large concert, entirely dedicated to the works of Beethoven.

The other piece in the program is a piece by Nicolò Paganini: the brilliant Concerto n. 1 in D major for violin and orchestra, op. 6. The piece will be interpreted by a very young and illustrious Italian talent: Giuseppe Gibboni, winner at the age of 20 of the most prestigious violin competition in the world: the Paganini Prize.
