At the end of the busy calendar of this opera season, the Philharmonic Theater proposes "La Bohème" by Giacomo Puccini. The work is structured in four episodes and develops on a libretto by the consolidated couple Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica. Puccini's masterpiece, represented for the first time in 1896 at the Teatro Regio in Turin, is re-presented on the Veronese stage on 4 dates starting from Sunday 11th December.

La Bohème will be staged during the Christmas period: precisely the temporal context of the jokes of the four young and penniless protagonists who will see their youth forever marked by the encounter with love. The work is set in Paris in 1830. In a miserable attic, four young friends - the poet Rodolfo, the painter Marcello, the musician Schaunard and the philosopher Colline - lead a libertine and nonconformist life. Money is almost always lacking, often fasting, but youth and carefree help to overcome many obstacles.

The opera will be staged under the direction of Alevtina Ioffe and the direction of Stefano Trespidi. The Choir Master is Ulisse Trabacchin. Orchestra, choir and technicians and new staging by the Arena di Verona Foundation.
