The festival of fishermen traditional dishes is back: from 15th to 17th september is time of Festa del Pesce at Caorle.
Caorle is one of the few places in the Adriatic sea that preserves its characteristic appeal of a seafaring hamlet: still nowadays fishery is practised by many citizens and its fleet can boast about 80 boats.
As usual, Festival takes place on the beach next to the little church "Madonnina dell'Angelo" in front of the sea. You can taste the fish of Caorle, fried or grilled, seated in front of the sea. Kitchens will be open for dinner on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. and, for lunch, on Sunday from 11:30 a.m..
A Casone will be built on the beach, thanks to this event. The "Casone" is the typical construction made of wood and reed, where fishermen and their families once lived.
