The 74th Veronese Summer Theater is scheduled from 22 June to 15 September, with major players on the national and international scene.
The sections in which the edition is divided are as usual three: prose, dance and music divided into 54 evenings during which 17 national premieres will be presented, created specifically for the festival. Eleonora Abbagnato, Marco Paolini, Alessandro Preziosi, Momix, the Syracuse Theater and the Kings of Convenience are just some of the big names that Summer Theater brings to Verona.
For the prose, the programming dedicated to the theater will be divided into two sections, the Shakespearean Festival and Settembre Classico.
For the first time, dance will also be in the sign of Shakespeare. Eleonora Abbagnato will be the protagonist with her daughter in an evening specially designed for the festival.
In the music section, numerous appointments with jazz, but there will also be a special section dedicated to different and experimental sounds.
