Valbelluna

A sparsely populated valley and wild nature

Valbelluna extends south of the province of Belluno, along the river Piave, and is a territory dominated by the peaks of the Schiara Group, Monte Serva and the Monti del Sole. These are harsh environments that are difficult to explore and sometimes inaccessible but which attract all those who love trekking high up in the mountains, away from crowds of tourists.

Part of Valbelluna falls within the boundaries of the Belluno Dolomites National Park, the largest "wild" area in Northeastern Italy but there are also other precious natural jewels such as the Integral Reserve of Monte Faverghera and the biotopes of Valmorel and Vedana.

The Alpe del Nevegal is the ideal destination for summer and winter holidays and offers trekking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Did you know that from the top of the Visentin on clear days you can see the Venetian lagoon and the shape of the bell tower of S. Marco?

Those who love cultural visits will stop off in Belluno, “the little Venice in the mountains”; or in medieval Feltre; or also in Mel, a hamlet of the municipality of Borgo Valbelluna, which is part of the Club of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

In addition to hiking, with its itineraries also suitable for families with children, Valbelluna is a destination that offers other leisure opportunities both in summer and winter such as mountain biking, horseback riding, sport fishing, canoeing, torrenting, birdwatching, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing, ice skating.
