Alpine Path no. 1, known as the "the classic," touches the imposing peaks of the Dolomites
along a route of about 150 miles. There is an amazing variety of environments going from the
Ampezzo Dolomites to the Belluno Dolomites.
Sheer walls hundreds of feet high and beautiful lakes in the mountain ranges that made the history of mountaineering are the background to this Alpine trail, popular with hikers and Alpine nature lovers who also love to spend their evenings in the shelters, from where to enjoy the legendary aplenglow phenomenon.
There are many variations and "recommended hikes" in addition to the basic trail, which do not present major mountaineering difficulties but require experience or the help of a guide.
