It is not often that we come across places where there is a sort of magical fusion between art and nature, between history and tradition, and where there is no lack of opportunity to spend wonderful moments in the open air.
All this is possible at the Sojo Park, in the town of Lusiana (Vicenza). It is an oasis of green which features around sixty sculptural installations created by a variety of internationally famous artists.
The natural environment offers spectacular views with the opportunity to follow the long path which crosses woods of oak, birch, beech, downy Oak and hornbeams. Inside the park there is also a small open-air theatre, which occasionally puts on concerts and theatre pieces.
The sculpture trail meanders over a distance of around three kilometres and takes about two hours to walk. Entrance is free only on weekdays, whilst on Sundays and Public Holidays an entrance fee must be paid. When visiting the park hiking shoes and socks are recommended as the paths go along steep woodland trails.
