The Arena Foundation presents the rich program of the 2023 opera season at the Verona Philharmonic Theater, which features 6 unmissable events: well-known works but also real rarities.

To open the season the comic opera in four acts Le nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart, proposed on four dates on 22nd, 25th, 27th and 29th January.

On 12th, 15th, 17th and 19th February Giuseppe Verdi's Aida will be staged, a real tribute to the genius of Franco Zeffirelli.

From March 26th, Werther, the masterpiece by Jules Massenet, for four performances (reruns on 29th and 31st March and 2nd April).

The fourth title is highly anticipated: Amleto, artistic summa of the Veronese Franco Faccio (1840-1891), work taken from the most famous Shakespearean title. The four performances of 22nd, 25th, 27th and 29th October constitute the first Italian representation of the opera in contemporary times in the new staging of the Arena Foundation.

Double appointment on 19th, 22nd, 24th and 26th November: Il Parlatore eterno, a funny and unedited gem by Amilcare Ponchielli, combined with the intense single act Il Tabarro by Giacomo Puccini. The Opera Season will end in December with one of Verdi's most exciting and popular titles: Un Ballo in maschera, proposed on 17th December and repeated on 20th, 22nd and 23th.
