The first major Venetian exhibition dedicated to Venetian sculpture curated by Toto Bergamo Rossi, director of Venetian Heritage and Claudia Cremonini, director of the Giorgio Franchetti Gallery at Ca’ d 'Oro.

Organised and funded by the Venetian Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with the Veneto Museums Regional Directorate, the exhibition is set up on the main floor of the building and will focus on the dialogue between different works by artists who worked in Venice and the territories of the Republic between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries. These include Donatello, Antonio Rizzo, Pietro, Tullio and Antonio Lombardo, right up to Jacopo Sansovino and Alessandro Vittoria, while the exhibition offers not only well-known works but also some sculptures never before seen in museums.

The exhibition as a whole aims to give back to visitors an interpretative variety of the sculptural technique, underlining the richness of materials, expressive potential and aesthetic variations within a historical-artistic context that too often prefers painting when considering Venice.

The exhibition involves the collaboration of Marsilio Arte for the organisational and coordination of communication aspects, as well as for publication of the catalogue that documents the exhibition by means of a major photographic campaign created for the event.
