The legendary Bassano - Grappa Peak climb, a route full of charm and breathtaking views that is as awesome as any of the great alpine ascents. Bassano del Grappa has hosted the Tour of Italy many times and has a long sporting tradition.

The "General Giardino" climb proposed here retraces an old military road whose technical characteristics make it ideal for training, sports competitions, and the time trial stages of the Tour of Italy. It starts slowly, but by the first bend you must adapt to slopes ranging between 8 and 10%.

After ten kilometers of continuous bends and quick sprints, you get to Camp Croce, where a short descent and a false flat stretch grant some respite before tackling the second part of the climb, which is still challenging, with slopes reaching even 14%. Past 1,500 m of elevation, vegetation becomes sparser and the mountain landscape increasingly fascinating.

After a short stretch you can finally begin to see the Military Shrine of Mount Grappa, one of the main military ossuaries.
