The Mario del Monaco Municipal Theatre reopens with a great theatre season, which in the 2023-2024 edition sees for the first time in Treviso a playbill with thirteen shows entirely dedicated to prose.

Tutta una altra storia (A whole different story) is the title of this season whose central theme is to welcome no less than five different generations: Boomer, Generation X, Millenial, Generation Z and Generation Alpha.

Plays such as Boomers (9-12 Nov), Waiting for King Lear with Alessandro Preziosi (23-26 Nov) will be staged. It continues with the great theatre authors from Gogol with L'Ispettore Generale starring Rocco Papaleo (15-17 Dec), and Goldoni with Gli Innamorati (18-21 Jan). From 1 to 4 Feb the poetry of Pier Paolo Pasolini is revived with the show Pa' (1-4 Feb).

The review then sees on stage actresses and actors particularly loved by the public: Umberto Orsini and Franco Branciaroli tread the stage with I ragazzi Irresistibili (16-18 Feb), while Teresa Mannino continues with Il giaguaro mi guarda storto (22-25 Feb).

Silvio Orlando is the star of the satire Ciarlatani (1-3 Mar), while Eva Robin's is the performer of Le serve (15-17 Mar). It is then the turn of Lysistrata (18-21 Apr), which takes us back to classical theatre. Closing the prose programme from 3 to 5 May 2024 will finally be Magnifica presenza, a show by Fernan Ozpetek.
