On the occasion of the winter holiday season, the Frau Musik Orchestra, the new artistic-educational project conceived by Andrea Marcon and supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Choir, performs three special concerts in Belluno, Vicenza and Verona with Gloria and Magnificat, two of the sacred sound monuments of Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach.

The multicultural orchestra, composed of 30 musicians under 30, will be accompanied by the choir by four soloists of international stature: tenor Delgado Diaz Camilo, soprano Julia Kirchner, mezzo-soprano Rachele Raggiotti and baritone Christian Wagner.

Within Frau Musika the young talents selected follow a course of advanced training and in-depth study of performance practice with original instruments at Villa San Fermo di Lonigo.

Gloria is the third hymn to Christianity written by Antonio Vivaldi, of which only two are known to us: the RV 588 and the RV 589 (in D major, the most famous and popular, composed between 1713 and 1714).

The Magnificat in D major BWV 243 is one of the most important vocal works by Johann Sebastian Bach. It is a sacred cantata composed for orchestra, choir with five voices and five soloists. The text is taken from the hymn contained in the first chapter of the Lk, in which Mary praises and thanks God for having set his people free. The Magnificat, together with the Mass in B minor, is one of the two major Latin-language compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Free admission with reservations required.
