Cortinametraggio, an event born in the 90s from an idea of Maddalena Mayneri and organized by the Cortinametraggio Association since nineteen editions, has established itself as one of the most important Short Film Festivals in Italy.
Over the years, it has garnered support from RAI, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC), the Sindacato Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani (SNGCI), Anec-Fice, and has seen a consistently growing interest from both the audience and critics, becoming a distinguished and sought-after hub for young talents.
The 19th edition of the Cortinametraggio festival will take place from 12 to 17 March 2024, in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Our aim is to continue offering the audience the best of Italian cinematography, engaging them with a week of screenings, meetings, exhibitions, workshops, tributes, and curiosities.
This year, the festival will be entirely focused on the young directors participating in the competition, who will be the true protagonists of the event. For the first time, the festival will have the pleasure of hosting them for the entire week in one of the partner hotels, allowing all participants to take part in the masterclasses and daily meetings specially organized for their training.
